Ann N. (Vorse) Goodreau

Ann N. Goodreau, age 70 of Platea, was carried home on Angels wings Christmas Day in the evening at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pa.

 Ann was born in Erie, Pa on October 15, 1947, the daughter of the late Ralph P. and Mary A. (Bricker) Vorse, Sr. She grew up in a house full of love with nine other brothers and sisters.  Times were hard, but Ann learned many things that helped her during adult years such as freezing, canning, working a garden, and other necessary chores that needed to be done.  When she met and married her husband and soul mate, Paul Goodreau whom she married on October 26, 1968, she was ready.  These two were inseparable.  Paul and Ann were like two peas in a pod.  Where one went, the other one wasn’t far behind. 

 Ann was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Girard, Pa., and in her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, gardening, and was known for her blueberries that she and Paul grew and sold every year to people around town.  To some, she was known as the “Blueberry Lady.”

 Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a precious grandson, Sabastion Goodreau on January 24, 1996; and a sister, Edith Kinney; and three brothers:  Ralph, John, and Harold Vorse.

 Besides her husband, Paul Goodreau of 49 years, she is survived by her son, Kevin Goodeau and

three sisters:  Mary Fitch and Melva Olesnanick both of Girard, Pa; Eileen Crandall of Ft. Wayne, IN; and two brothers:  Chuck Vorse of Girard, Pa and Frank Vorse of Senneca, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews and good friends.

 Friends and Family are invited to call at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home at 11883 Main Street, East Springfield, Pa. on Friday, December 29, from 1 until the time of the Service at 3 p.m. Celebrated by Father William Miller of the St. John Catholic Church of Girard, Pa.
