Arthur L. Bankes

Arthur L. Bankes, age 72 of East Springfield, was guided home by the hand of the Lord on Saturday evening, March 10, 2018.

Arthur was born on September 8, 1945 in Manhattan, New York, the son of the late Arthur L. and Dolly Mae (Albert) Bankes, Sr.

He worked for many years at Carlisle Industries in Lake City in the Tool and Die Department before he got hurt and became disabled.  Art was a strong believer in the Lord and was an active member and Elder in the New Life Community Church in Fairview, Pa.  When he was younger, he had been a member of the Moose Club in Albion, he enjoyed coaching Little League and Minor League Baseball teams and most of all he enjoyed loving up his cat, “Mookie.”

Art is survived by his wife, Sherry (Arthur) Bankes and a son; Art Peterson (Chris) of Arizona  and two daughters; Missy Raisler (Shane) of Ohio and Deanna Calladine (Dave) of Pennsylvania.  There are also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also surviving.

There will be no calling hours or services per Art’s request.
