Barbara J. Brewer

Barbara j. Brewer, age 81, of East Springfield, Pa., passed away on December 21, 2024 after a brief illness at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa.

 Barb was born in Conneaut, OH, the daughter of the late Louis and Pauline (Gruzosky) Terry.

She graduated from Northwestern High School and worked for C.G. Wood Company in Girard, Pa., and Eighmy Corporation in Conneaut, Oh for many years. Her last position that she really enjoyed was owning her own pet grooming business in East Springfield. Barb liked all kinds of animals; especially her dog, Jackie. She loved her many flower gardens and she has a house full of flowers that she grew herself. She also loved spending time with all her family members.

 Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Brewer in 2022, her grandparents, Paul and Anna (Stanicar) Gruzosky. Also two sister-in-laws, Lila M. Connors and Jean Terry and her brother-in-law, Gordon C. Brewer.

 Barb is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberly Brewer (Sean Duffy) and her grandson, Michael Duffy and her brothers, Ron (Sally) Terry, Jim Terry; and sisters, Vickie Voelker and Patty (Michael) Lamary. Also many nieces and nephews.

 Calling for Barb will be private and she will be buried with her husband in St. John’s Cemetery, Girard, Pa.
