Crystal Kay Fails

Crystal Kay Fails, age 38 of Girard, Pa. was carried home on angels wings Wednesday morning at UPMC Hamot Hospital.

Crystal was born on October 28, 1982, the daughter to William and Holly (Bort) Fails in Conneaut, Ohio.  She graduated from Girard High School in 2001 and attended the Tri-State Institute where she studied the dental assistant program.  She enjoyed photography, bowling, four-wheeling, and watching her children in their school and after-school activities.  She also liked watching and enjoying her family around the weekend bonfires.

Crystal was preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Paul Fails, Sr. and Warren Bort and her Great-Grandmother, Dorothy Rutherford.

Crystal is survived by two children, Jaxon and Ciera Silman and two sisters; Violet Williams of Cranesville, Pa. and Brandy Fails of Girard, Pa.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews:  Kyle, Ethan, Lillie, Liam, Azalea, Kayla, and Myla and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours for Crystal will be held at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. with COVID restrictions and requirements in place.  Services will be held privately.
