Deloris Rae Elva (Crowl) Currier
Deloris Rae Currier, age 88 of Girard, Pa. went home by the graceful hand of the Lord on Saturday night, May 9, 2020 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pa.
Deloris known to many as “Dee” was born in Ashtabula, OH, on July 21, 1931, the daughter to the late Floyd H. and Marion (Williams) Crowl.
Dee knew what it meant to be a hard worker and to raise a family. She knew that with the Lord by her side, she could do it all and she did. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Albion and she worked for the Girard Marx Toys, and Penn Union in Edinboro for many years. In her spare time, Dee enjoyed gardening, fishing, and reading about the Lord. She spent many years visiting the sick and elderly at various senior living and hospitals. She also took food and visited throughout her neighborhood making known that they were loved and their friendship were very important to her while spreading the love of her Lord, Jesus Christ.
Besides her parents, Dee is preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Currier and two brothers; Gene and Richard Crowl.
She is survived by two sons; Mark and Zane Currier both of Girard, Pa. and a brother, James F. Crowl of Conneaut, OH. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews,
A Memorial Life Celebration Service will be celebrated in memory of Dee on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Albion Church of the Nazarene, 9580 US Rt. 6N, Albion, PA 16401 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Hennen, Officiating. Dee was laid to rest beside her husband, Edward in Hope Cemetery. Arrangements have been arranged with care and love by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, East Springfield, Pa.
