Diana L. (Simons) Dick

Diana Dick, age 60 of Albion, Pa. died  peacefully Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West in Girard where she had been recently residing.

Diana was born on March 13, 1954 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Ronald L. and Delores (Funk) Simons. 

She graduated from the Northwestern Class of 1973 and started her working career at Brookpark Plastics in Lake City.  She then worked at the Albion Sure Fine grocery store and was the custodian at the Springfield Elementary School.  She was also a substitute kitchen helper at all the Northwestern Schools from time to time.

In her spare time, Diana enjoyed working on arts and crafts and enjoyed creating items with plastic canvas, going to yard sales, volunteering at the Albion Area Fair selling booster buttons at the gates and working at various other booths throughout the fair grounds.  Mostly, she enjoyed the family get-togethers and picnics and was anticipating the arrival of her new granddaughter that is due in October.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Irene M. Dick on August 17, 2013.

Besides her parents, Diana is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Robert E. Dick and a daughter, Jennifer A. Lockwood and her significant partner, Jamie Stagel of Springboro, Pa.; and two sons, William E. Dick and his wife, Missy of Lake City, Pa.; and Bob E. Dick and his significant partner, Ashlee Nolan of East Springfield, Pa.  Grandma DD will also be missed by a special ray of sunshine, Makenzie White.  Diana is also survived by a sister, Bonnie Neubauer and her husband, Gary of Erie, Pa. and a brother, Clint Simons and his wife, Kathy of Clarendon, Pa.  She is also survived by her father-in-law, Bill Dick of East Springfield.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main Street, East Springfield, Pa on Monday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. and are invited to attend Life Celebration Services in Memory of Diana on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home with burial following at Springfield Cemetery.

Memorial Donations may be made in Diana’s memory to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
