Geneva "Sue" Florence Laseck

Geneva “Sue” F. Laseck, age 82 of Albion, PA died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa. 

 Sue was born in Wildcat, West Virginia on July 2, 1934, the daughter of the late Emory Benson and Rada Louise (Kincaid) Forinash.  She grew up on a farm and participated in all the farm duties with her parents and her sisters and brothers:  She was one of thirteen children.  Sue is preceded in death by four of her sisters:  Lilly Pauline Walden, Norma Kohut, Connie McGuire, and Phyllis “Jean” Simpson and two brothers:  Dallas and William “Mickey” Forinash.  She married William P. Laseck and he passed away in May 1991.

 She worked for many years for Teledyne Penn Union as a machinist in Edinboro, Pa.  In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and the Baseball Leagues that she participated in through Penn Union.  She also enjoyed gardening and canning.  Her favorite thing was her family.

Sue is survived by four children:  Kathleen Laseck (Mike), William Laseck, and Robert Laseck (Kim) all of Albion, Pa.; and Jacqueline Rickard of Cranesville, Pa.  Sue is also survived by four sisters:  Mabel Thompson of Louisville, OH, Donna McLaughlin (John) of Edinboro, Pa., Janet Ruland of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and Janice Kirsch (Jim) of Wildcat, WV. And two brothers:  Delmar Forinash of Albion, Pa., and Dennis Forinash of Cambridge Springs, PA and she is survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

 Friends and Family are invited to call at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 until the time of the Life Celebration Service at 8 p.m.  There will be a graveside service on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kincaid Cemetery on Buttermilk Road in Ireland, WV where Sue will be laid to rest next to her parents.
