Homer R. Eisaman, Jr, age 85 owner of Rocking N and H Ranch on Cherry Hill Road, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, June 29, 2016 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
Homer leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Nancy (Godspeed) Eisaman. A son, Jeramie Eisaman (Rachel); daughters, Amanda Gibson (Jason), Julie Brennan (Joe), Tammy Lynch (Tom) and several grand and great grandchildren; good friends, Doug and Marlee Cottrell and so many more.
Homer was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on February 7, 1931, the son of the late Homer R., Sr. and Dorothy (Thompson) Eisaman. Homer spent many summers as a child on his family’s farm in East Springfield, Pa. Following high school, Homer joined the U.S. Navy. He retired from Local Sheet Metal Union #12 and was a former member of the Erie County Mounted sheriff’s Posse. He worked for several years for the Erie County Sheriff’s Department, and served as Conneaut Twp. Supervisor, and was an avid local fairgoer. He participated in many draft horse events with his son and family by his side.
Homer’s wishes were to be taken to his final resting place in Springfield Cemetery next to his parents by his two black percherons, Travis and Thunder, on the hitch wagon he and his son proudly built.
