Jack Lewis, age 71 of Cranesville, Pa. passed away on Monday evening, May 29, 2017at the Manchester Commons in Fairview.
Jack was born on May 13, 1946 in Erie, Pa., the son of the late Kenneth N. and Ada E. (Heck) Lewis. Jack lived a very busy and productive life. Growing up as one of nine children, he was given the opportunity to many different things. After high school, Jack went into the U. S. Army where he served during the Vietnam era. When he returned from his time in the service, he worked for many places in the area. He started out with the Warren Steel Co. in Erie, Pa., and then he snowplowed and performed other work duties for the Girard Twp. for thirty years. He finally retired after several years of working for the Northwestern Krise Bus Service taking kids to school safely everyday.
Jack was a member of the Teamsters Local #397 for School Bus Drivers. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry work, painting cars, and he enjoyed working with model train sets. He was also an avid chess player and liked inventing different ways to play the game.
Besides his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Nason.
He is survived by his loving wife, Annette (Kellerman) Lewis and five children: Keith S. Lewis of Albion, Pa., Shawn E. Lewis (Amanda) of N. East, Pa., Annette M. Pineiro (Francisco) of Albion, Pa., Andrew J. Lewis of Blairsville, Pa., and Jessica C. Lewis of Cranesville, Pa.; and three sisters: Judith A. Vorse of Girard, Pa., Ruby Loucks (Kenneth) of Edinboro, Pa., and Dayle Lewis of Albion, Pa.; and four brothers: Norman Lewis of Saegertown, Pa., Jerry Lewis (Debbie) of Hershey, Pa., Kenneth Lewis (Marlene) of Waterford, Pa., and Robert Lewis (Diane) of West Springfield, Pa. He was blessed to have had the opportunity to love 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
