Judith L. Brown

Judith L. Brown, of East Springfield, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at her home. She was born in Weston, WV to the late R.B. and Winifred (Stalnaker) Yancey.

She is survived by her husband, David Brown of 44 years and her two children: Cheryl Kinney (Vern) of Albion and Chad Edwards (Gayle) of West Springfield and two granddaughters; Julie Edwards (Luke) of East Springfield and Brooke Edwards (Cash) of West Springfield. She is further survived by four step-children: Mindy Mays and Tommy, Karen McConnell and Larry, and David M. Brown and Akiko all of Smyrna, TN. Also, Sandi Carlson and Marty of Painesville, OH. 12 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren . She is also survived by a niece, Kim Yancey of Linn, WV.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Roland Yancey of Linn, WV and his wife, Catie.

Judith was past president of the Springfield Fireman’s Auxiliary and the Springfield Mother’s Club and she enjoyed playing cards with her neighbors and enjoyed the donut gang.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home and are invited to attend Celebration of Life Services at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 am with Pastor Clyde Davis and Lamech Marsh of the Girard Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery.
