Linda Lou Vadzemnieks

Linda left this earth to be with her Lord and her husband, Oggie (Olgerts) on Thursday, October 17, 2024 with her family beside her.

Linda was born on December 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Lester and Ruth Borland Evans. She had a very happy life in East Springfield – small towns are the best. God blessed her by placing her in a wonderful church and giving her many great and loving friends.

Linda leaves, but will join with someday, her children; Michael Vadzemnieks, Rebecca and Mark Crosby, David and Melanie Vadzemnieks, and her Grandchildren; Evan Crosby, Kyra and Hannah Vadzemnieks, and a precious great-grandson, David Alexander Crosby. Nieces, Rosa and Jim Youschak – Tyler, and Jean and Rick Thompson- David and Ruth Anne and two sisters-in-law, Mara Eddinger and Wilma Evans.

You may visit with each other and Linda’s family at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home where Linda grew up and spent her childhood at 11883 Main Street, East Springfield, PA, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and attend the funeral there on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Ed Huntley and Rick Plucknett, officiating. Following, Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband of 57 years, Oggie, in Springfield Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Linda can be made to the Federated Church, 11995 Main Street, East Springfield, PA 16411 or to the First Presbyterian Church of Girard, P.O. Box 106, Girard, PA 16417. Linda would like to thank her family for all the love and care they have given her and also to thank Melanie for all her wonderful care of David and to Mark, the Best Son-in-law. And thank you to all her wonderful friends. Please be a blessing to each other and eat lots of Donuts.

Additionally, the family would like to thank the aides, nurses and staff at Fairview Manor for their loving and compassionate care of Mom for a little over three years.
