Natalie B. Slaney

Natalie B. Slaney, age 86 of Girard, Pa., took the hand of Jesus home on Monday evening, July 3, 2023 at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard where she was residing temporarily.

Natalie was born on October 15, 1936, the daughter of the late James and Doris (Smith) Ellard in Dorchester,  Massachusetts.

Natalie worked at the North Attleboro Nursing Home in North Attleboro  Massachusetts for 17 years in the housekeeping department before she retired in 2004.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading mystery books.  In her earlier years, when her sight was better, she crafted  beautiful needlepoint pictures.

Besides her parents, Natalie was preceded in death by two sisters:  Mary and Martha and a niece, Kathy.

She is survived by two sons; Joseph (Karen) Slaney and Tim (Susan) Slaney.  She also leaves behind two grandsons; Trey and Tyler Slaney.

The family would like to give special thanks to three  Angels that took very special care of Natalie while she was staying at Pleasant Ridge.  A special thanks to Pam, April, and Haneenn.

Your dedicated care and attention to mom, means the world to us.

As per the family’s wishes, there will be no services for Natalie.  Arrangements are being made by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home in East Springfield, Pa.
