Robert H. Brewster, age 81, a life-long resident of West Springfield was recently residing in Levering, Michigan with his daughter, Peggy. He was led by the hand of the Lord to Heaven on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
Bob was born in Albion, Pa., the son of the late William I. and Anna J. (Dana) Brewster on February 18, 1936.
Bob graduated from the Albion High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957 as a Quartermaster. When his service was up, he became an over the road truck driver and also volunteered many hours and years at Camp Judson in North Springfield where he worked in maintenance and taking care of the Camp grounds. Bob was a member of the West Springfield Baptist Church and also belonged to the Teamster’s Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing all kinds of tractors.
Bob is survived by two daughters: Peggy Keller (Kyle) of Levering, MI, and Martha Corn (Terry) of Pensacola, FL; and three sons: Matthew Brewster (Kimmy) of Jefferson, OH; Michael Brewster (Teresa) of West Springfield, PA; and Mark Brewster (Margie) of Halstead, KS. He is also survived by a sister, Sally Byerly of Hyndman, PA and two brothers: Bill Brewster of Fairview, PA and Tom Brewster (Joann) of Lebanon, TN. He was blessed with sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
