Rose M. “Becky” Goodenow

Rose M. Goodenow, age 85 of Conneaut, OH passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the Harrington EA Home where she had been residing recently.

Becky, as so many called her, was born on December 16, 1935, the daughter of the late William and Effie (Hooven) Hockenberry in Madison Twp., PA.

Becky graduated from Plum High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. and enjoyed watching movies. Her favorite things to do were to spend time with her family and taking pride in creating wonderful holiday meals for her family.

Besides her Parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Butch” Goodenow, siblings: Geraldine “Terry” Blaser, Bill Schreckengost, Addie McCann, Stella Nelson, Bill Hockenberry, and Kenny Hockenberry.

She is survived by her children: Janice (Jeff) Ivey of New Braunfels, TX, Paula (Edward) Palagyi of Conneaut, OH, David (Heather) Goodenow of Greenville, OH, and Mary Goodenow of Geneva, OH and a sister, Marge Craig and a brother, Jim Hockenberry. She is also survived by six Grandchildren: Dan, Ray, and Emily Ivey, Jessica Brisley, Krystal Palagyi, and Benjamin Goodenow and three Great-Grandchildren: Jaxon and Kayden McCoy and Greyson Palagyi.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Springfield Cemetery, Rt. 215, East Springfield with her son-in-law, Jeff Ivey officiating.
