Sandra S. (Peterson) Meeker

Sandra S. Meeker, age 77 of West Springfield, Pa. passed away early on Sunday morning, November 7, 2021 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA.
Sandra was born in North Springfield on January 26, 1944, the daughter of the late Alton A. and Ruth V. (Collins) Peterson.
Sandra worked for various places during her lifetime, but her most important job that she liked the most was being at home with her husband and taking care of her children. She enjoyed crocheting, and cooking and baking. She was especially noted for her “Whoopie Pies and Raisin Cookies,” spending time with her family and being around her grandchildren. They were all the love of her life. Sandra liked the simple things in life and she lived her life in full grace with the love of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Garold H. Meeker. They were married August 22, 1964. She is also survived by a daughter, Mary Ann (Jim) McGill of Alliance, OH; a son, Michael G. (Gail) Meeker of Sanger, TX; and two sisters, Renalda (Jerry) Lahnan of West Springfield, PA and Wilma (Raymond) Hahn of Conneaut, OH. Also, her wonderful grandchildren: Ashley Brown, Alton and Austin Meeker and a great-granddaughter, Cameron Brown and many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Life Celebration Service at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery, East Springfield, Pa.
