Shannon Marie (Phillips) Miller

Shannon Marie Miller, age 43 of Albion, Pa fought a hard battle with cancer and it finally took her from her family and friends on Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home.

Shannon was born in Erie, Pa on May 26, 1978, the daughter of Ken and Desilene (Bowen) Phillips.

Shannon had the biggest heart of anyone and she wasn’t a pushover. If she thought she was right, there was no changing her mind. She had a love of life and enjoyed hunting and fishing with her kids. Team Penning, Sorting, and belonged to OVTPA. She loved going to her kids’ ball games and going to the archery shoots. Her family was her priority.

Holidays were her favorite times of the year. She especially loved Christmas and made sure everyone got something and no one was forgotten. On Christmas morning, she was always the first one up (if she even went to bed) saying “get up Santa was here.” Her Sister, Jamie said that Shannon was truly a selfless miracle. She blessed everyone with her infectious laughter and her beautiful smile.

She was a very accomplished horse woman. She never missed the Waterford and the Albion Fairs where she took her spotted draft horses and drove them in cart classes, hitch classes, and log pulls. She was fascinated by bees and became a bee keeper.

She had many stories to tell and kept everyone laughing. She will be sorely missed by all her friends and family.

Shannon was preceded in death by a baby brother, Edmund Greiner who died at one day old, and her brother Kenny Phillips.

Shannon is survived by her husband, Kurt Miller; children who she thought the world of: Cody, Michaela, Shane and the ones she claimed as her own; Jade Leicht and Skylar Lubin. Her sister, Jamie (Derek) King; nephews, Ryker and Owen King; Father and Mother-In-Law; Dave (Connie) Miller, Brother-in-Law, Craig (Sue) Miller and their children; Samantha, Jayden, and Kamryn. Sister-in-Law; Amy Miller and Keashon; Sister-in-Law, Michelle (Jerome) Miller, Diamond and Gio; Sister-in-Law, Stephanie (Andy) Rupp and their children; Treasure, Elisha, Zechariah, and Isaac. Aunt Colleen (Andy) Lance; Cousins, Kristina (David) Kiel, Garianne Kiel (Jared Black), Vivian and Conner, Dulcea, Gary and Greg, Nikki (Doug) Copeland, Dillon, Jamie, Kiersten, Dalton (Jessica) Daniels, Alec Daniels. Uncle Ray (Janet) Bowen who she loved to go fishing with. Cousins Michelle (Gavin) , Megan (Ryan) Kennedy, Macy and Daren. Her Aunt Eunice, Uncle Dana and Aunt Kitty Greiner, Jessyln, Dane, Uncle Frank (Pati) Greiner, Adrienne, Erin, Frank, and Robbie, and Nikki Kiel Copeland; also, her Aunt Sue (Gordon) Lorance, Uncle George Phillips, and Aunt Rhonda (Greg) Henderson. Shannon thought the world of all her nieces, nephews and cousins.
