Suzanne Diehl

Suzanne Diehl, age 68 of West Springfield, Pa. died peacefully at her home with her son at her bedside on Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018.

Suzanne was born in Cleveland, OH on November 23, 1949, the daughter to the late Stanley and Suzanna R. (Zelanak) Sasnawskas.  She graduated from the Lincoln High School in Cleveland, OH in 1968 and  Married James Arthur Diehl.  Suzanne was a hard worker.  She worked at Transplastics in Conneaut, Oh back in the 1970’s and then retired as a press-operator at Pre-Mix in Kingsville, OH after many years of service.  Suzanne loved crafting.  She enjoyed doing needlepoint, making little lace angels with wooden heads, coloring and was a voracious reader.  She would read many books a week of all different types.

Besides her parents, Suzanne is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Diehl on April 29, 1980 and a son, Stanley F. Diehl.

She is survived by a son, James A. Diehl from West Springfield; a sister, Mary-Ann (James) Roberts of Strongsville, OH; two nieces, Ruth (Joe) Ford and Jennifer Roberts; and a Dear close friend – “Aunt Marro” Mary Manley of West Springfield.

Friends are invited to call at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Suzanne will be laid to rest in Springfield Cemetery.
