William Borland

William R. Borland, age 85 of Albion, Pa. took the Lord’s hand on Friday, October 1, 2021 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pa.

William was born on March 7, 1936 in Indiana, Pa., the son of the late James Harold and Mary Elizabeth (Jewell) Borland

Besides his parents, William is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Ann (Smedley) Borland; a son, Richard Raymond Borland; and a daughter, Jennifer L. Chuzie.

He is survived by two daughters:  Amy Lynn Lee (Thomas) of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Becky Ann Todd of Port St. Lucie, FL; a son, William W. Borland of Albion, Pa.; and a son-in-law, Lawrence “Larry” Chuzie of Grove City, Pa. Two grandchildren, Joseph and Daniel Todd; and a brother, James Robert Borland (Janet) of North Olmsted, OH; and a sister, Nancy A. Swanson (Brad) of Cranesville, Pa; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from the Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, OH where he earned his Bachelor degree in Corporate Accounting.  He was a member of the New Leaf Methodist Church in Conneaut, OH and in his spare time, Bill liked to farm, camp and many outdoor activities.  He was also wonderful at crocheting.

There will be no calling hours observed for Bill.  The family will memorialize Bill at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, East Springfield, PA.
